AGS Gas-Insulated Switchgear

GIS circuit breakers are typically operated by hydraulic, pneumatic, or spring‑actuated mechanisms, while disconnect switches and earthing switches are generally driven by pneumatic, manual, electric, or electric‑spring actuators. In transmission lines, GIS serves both control and protection functions, making it one of the most critical pieces of power transmission and distribution equipment. With advantages such as compact size, minimal footprint, ease of installation and construction, immunity to external environmental conditions, safe and reliable operation, flexible configuration, simple maintenance, and long overhaul intervals, GIS has gradually replaced air‑insulated and oil‑less alternatives. AGL circuit breaker

The AGL‑126 outdoor high‑voltage AC sulfur hexafluoride circuit breaker (hereinafter referred to as the “circuit breaker”) is an outdoor‑mounted, three‑pole, 50 Hz AC high‑voltage switchgear that uses SF₆ gas as both the arc‑extinguishing and insulating medium. It can be used to make and break rated currents and fault currents, switch capacitor banks, and transfer circuits; it may also serve as a tie‑breaker, providing control and protection for transmission and distribution lines and associated equipment. It is particularly well suited for frequent operations and is equipped with a CT20 spring‑operated mechanism.
